Defender 2.0
Exactly what I’d expect from Shellback. High quality materials, meticulous craftsmanship and at a reasonable price point when you purchase as a package. Glad I spent the extra money for the lightweight level IV plates as every pound counts.

Defender 2.0 w/4SCMH Level IV plates
Super slick and super light, Easy to dawn and ditch, setup, and stow in the provided bag. My op set for this EDC/active shooter/urban bugout, so 2 mags and a tourniquet and an added blowout/IFAK, carabiner w/work gloves, mini pry bar, webbing cutter, fixed blade, and a pair of goggles in a case all fit snug in the nondescript, flat packing bag. Helps for packing into a larger crash bag for the back of the truck, or to put into checked luggage. Large sized side adjusting straps are great for dawn and ditch eapecially when wearing oversized clothing or you are a larger person. I do wish that there was hook pile tape sewn into the side straps to better secure the side straps because the carrier can start to loosen up and slosh under weight and a few jogs around. Overall great product.

Tactical Defender 2.0
As a law enforcement officer, more and more of us are purchasing our own plate carriers for a custom fit. I choose Shellback Carrier for their ease of use purchasing and fast shipping. When my carrier arrived, it was neatly packaged and well-made. The prevail ceramic plates are lightweight and the Tactical Defender carrier is easy to adjust. I will recommend Shellback to my co-workers and look forward to trying more gear in the future.
