Let me start by saying that the customer service at Shellback Tactical is phenomenal. Had a few sizing/shipping issues which was partially my fault but everyone at shellback was super helpful and even upgraded my order to overnight shipping at no cost. Can’t say long term how this carrier will hold up as I’ve only had it for about 2 weeks but short term it’s well worth the money. High quality and very durable and comfortable with tons of Molle attachment points. Definitely recommend this company if looking for a quality carrier.

I'll be honest, I haven't had a chance to take this out to the field yet, but I'll get a month long trip in Jan to wear this 12+ hrs a day, and right now I'm confident it'll hold up and remain comfortable with a full combat loadout. Build quality is impressive, shipping was instant, and comfort is next level so far. I've used PC's in the past, and the shoulder pads were always too narrow to wear comfortably, but this one fits perfectly. I'm 6', 250 with a 49" chest, and it sits just right with the L/XL Cummerbund. Spacious admin pouch, plate pocket is easy to use/setup and is secure. My only complaint thus far is that omission of side plate pockets/pouches. TL;DR: Great for home use, waiting to give an update until field tested with 12+ hr days. So far I'm happy, and confident it was worth the investment.

The Banshee 3.0 is the latest offering from Shellback Tactical, I am glad to own one of them. This carrier is comfortable, it looks cool; and it has features that put it up there as one of the top plate carriers. The soft armor options are a plus, and the carrier is made in the USA! The front quick release (edof) is the final reason I picked this up, it’s a necessity I feel; I also like running it with the inside clips unengaged when I have the cumberbun in, giving me just the “stretch” I need. Replacing the inside strap/clip with something more elastic is also an easy option to explore. Great job Shellback Tactical

Bought this vest after researching AR500 for price and higher quality vest like London bridge and Crye. The Banshee is a great in between of features, function and price. I wear this plate carrier for 12 hour shifts on patrol and have had the shoulder strap loosen with activity if just getting in and out of my unit. Tape should fix the issue. I’m 6 feet 280 and it I did have to switch the cunberbun lanyard out with my larger cord from my London bridge vest. Fits fine now but that’s just my weight issues. The features and quality are great for the price a lot more comfortable than the department issued vest and greater mobility all around. Haven’t had any back issues since I started wearing the Banshee 3.0 like my old condor vest that was issued. Definitely recommend the purchase.

I will start with a disclaimer that I may not be as well versed as most with plate carriers. Having said that, this plate carrier is definitely the most comfortable I have worn yet... plenty of padding all around. The cummerbund comes with a plastic sleeve that I am probably going to keep in for backing against my side from mags, but removing this sleeve will take out some of the rigidity if it is not for you. After getting everything adjusted, the only modification I have made so far was that I actually removed the cummerbund and flipped it so that now I can remove mags from the bottom instead of not being able to access them from the top. I haven't fielded this yet so I don't know the practicality, but if someone does, please let me know the results. Other than that, this is the only carrier so far that has an integrated hydration pouch, so that was a big selling point as well.. the only alternative I have really found is a molle attachable unit, but tack on another $150 for that if you are going to get a different carrier. I truly don't believe I will be disappointed with this purchase, and the customer service is too notch from my dealings. Too marks all around.

Banshee 3.0: Serving as a Marine Corps infantrymen, I’ve used several different plate carriers in my years. This has been by the far the best well rounded one on the market. The durability and survivability this officers is amazing. After wearing it for long periods of time, you don’t feel the normal wear and tear on your body as you do others. I would highly recommend this to anyone. The laser-cut molle is significantly better than the older stitch style. The internal padding that it offers on your chest and back, help significantly keeping sweat from staining into the carrier. It allows comfortability for long periods and it truly goes above and beyond it for the price. I’m in the market to purchase two more of these bad boys soon.

The Banshee Elite 3,0 Tactical is an excellent plate carrier that provides high quality construction with features that offer extreme appeal. Upon arrival, a thorough examination confirmed the carrier to be exactly as advertised. I am concerned that the quick release latch system may be problematic over time. We will see. I would recommend a larger cummerbund option for larger frames. I am 6'3" and 255 lbs. My chest measures 46". I am fit and active, but a large framed male. The XL cummerbund was ordered and fits, but not comfortably. The new design is rigid and not as user friendly as the Banshee elite 2.0 system. I researched the web, this site, and many competitors before rolling the dice on purchasing this carrier due to a lack of information addressing what I just wrote. A quick change replacement latch system would be desirable and worth researching to improve this offering. A larger cummerbund offered for this model would also be desirable. Utilization of this carrier worn over soft body armor on larger framed males is not optimal with current cummerbund offerings as explained above. If Shellback were to research, develop and offer the above items, they would be purchased by many adding desirability to this new offering. The price as offered is more than I would spend on this carrier again without the addition of a larger cummerbund at a minimum. The option of a replaceable quick release latch system capable of being replaced in the field with a spare on hand would be even better. I write all of the above to help better guide prospective purchasers attempting to decide on which carrier to purchase. Unless a larger cummerbund is offered for this rig, larger males should stick with Banshee elite 2.0 with their largest cummerbund offering which provides an additional six inches of adjustment. Regardless, Shellback offers quality gear that is dependable. Purchase from them and you will be glad you did so. Hope this information helps.

BLUF: Buy it now before it goes out of stock. Welp, if you want the highest quality, and fastest on/off plate carrier on the planet, then look no further. Figure out your cummerbund size and order it. You won't regret it. I had it fully adjusted in 5 minutes. I agree with another review the aft most mag pockets (one on each side) are harder to get to for a reload. You can easily carry mags in that location but IMHO it is a lot slower reload from those pouches. BUT those aft mag pouches are great for other gear (radios, etc). You'll still want to add a few mag pouches to the front for the quickest reloads. When you consider ALL the pouches, the EASY access to the quick connect/disconnect buckles and all the other great features that come with it, the price point is excellent. Don't believe me, go spec out the others and don't forget to add in ALL the pouches that come with this carrier. Worth every penny I paid. Did I mention they shipped very fast with great service.
