Velcro
Overall the plate carrier and the 5.7lbs plates is good setup. Very light. I wish it had more options. For example changing the buckle on the shoulder strap to a flat metal buckle quick release. I don’t like the quick release cummerbund the tubes are hard to connect. A strait Velcro cumber bud would be better I think. The mag pockets could be elastic there isn’t a back pack option from shellback and this plate carrier could really use one. Some of these things can be fixed with after market pieces but the cummerbund needs to have elastic mag pouches or be elastic all the way. However it’s still a good carrier
